How do I book a speaker?
Google "professional speaker". Or close your eyes and point to a name in the yellow pages. No. Seriously. Trust Keynote to find the kind of speaker you need.
We'll recommend speakers based on your budget and criteria. If you already have a speaker in mind, we can tell you how they stack up against similar speakers in their topic and price range. We can warn you about "canned", unprofessional, or high-maintenance speakers. We can also research new or hard-to-find speakers, at no cost to you.
Once you choose a speaker, we'll use our industry experience to negotiate the best deal on your behalf. After the speaker is confirmed, we will follow up on details for the event to make sure the speaker has everything necessary to do a great job!
I'm interested in a speaker who's not listed on your website. Can you help?
Yes. While we list several hundred speakers on our website, there are thousands of professional speakers out there, not to mention all those who only speak on an occasional basis. Our company database, built up over almost 30 years in the industry, contains way more speakers than we could possibly list on a single website.
Plus, celebrities who accept speaking engagements usually don't want us to advertise their names online.
So, if you're interested in someone you don't see on the list, just ask. We also routinely research new speakers or hard-to-find celebrity speakers, so we'd be happy to inquire about someone special for you.
How much are speakers' fees? Are there any additional costs?
Speakers' fees start at around $3,500 and can go up to $200,000, depending on the individual speaker. Longer time commitments like a half-day or full-day program will usually be more expensive than a simple keynote-type speech. Events that take place overseas may also be more expensive. When you speak to a Keynote agent, we will quote you fees for specific speakers and help you find a speaker that fits your budget.
Other additional costs may include audio/visual equipment, round trip airfare, ground transportation, overnight accommodations, and out-of-pocket expenses, such as meals, parking, toll fees and tips.
Keynote's services are free. Well, not free to the speaker, but free to our clients, who are the ones hiring the speakers. See below.
What does Keynote Speakers charge for its services? What if I change my mind and decide not to book a speaker at all?
What we do is priceless, but we don't charge you a separate fee for working with us. The speaker you book pays us a commission for securing the booking for them, so that we can be free to you. And, if you decide not to book any speaker at all, there is absolutely no charge.
I want my speaker to do a book signing, take photos with us, and/or attend a VIP event. Can you arrange that?
Part of our job is to make sure that you get everything you need to make your speaker appearance perfect. Special requests are subject to the speaker's agreement, but we will do our best to make sure the speaker can do what you need.
Can I audio or video tape my speaker's presentation? What about webcasts and posting the speech on our event website?
It depends on the speaker you choose. Let us know in advance if you would like to tape or post the speech online, and we can plan that into the negotiations with your speaker. Some speakers will let anyone broadcast their speech, and some never allow taping of any kind - we'll help you sort it all out.
