Warren Evans is the president of The Service Excellence® Group Inc., a management-consulting firm founded in 1977. His corporate roots are in sales and marketing, and include line management accountability. Warren Evans' firm made its name in the 80's and early 90's doing strategy work, and large-scale change-implementation projects based on their service management models.
A key element of Warren Evans' strategy work has been to look at major trends and how they interact with each other, in an effort to determine how they are most likely to play out. Often running against conventional wisdom, this "trends blending" approach has allowed him to correctly call everything from organization issues and stock market swings, to real estate values, and election results. Warren Evans has worked with clients of every size and sector, including economic development entities from Scotland, to the Persian Gulf and the Yukon, including a dozen countries on five continents.
Out of these long-term, in-depth consulting projects came Warren Evans' management strategies presentations, critical lessons learned from the key elements needed to successfully implement change and manage effectively in a turbulent environment. Strategy work and trends analysis looks at the interaction among major trends, including economics, corporate restructuring, demographics, globalization, technology, and psychographics, to describe their combined impact on organizations, and the future of work. Over the last two decades this unique approach, often in defiance of conventional wisdom, has proven remarkably accurate.
Warren Evans has been involved in his industry's professional associations in numerous capacities, including serving seven years on the executive council of the 165,000-member International Federation of Training and Development Organizations in the 1980's, and being chairperson of the 5,000-member International Federation for Professional Speakers in the 1990's. Warren Evans' combination of unusual insights, fresh analysis, useful ideas, and irreverent humor resonates with audiences, making him one North America's consistently highest rated speakers. His client list runs from ABB and American Express, through McDonalds, to Toyota and Xerox.
Regularly quoted as a trends analyst and business commentator in a wide variety of media, Warren Evans has appeared on radio and television from coast to coast. Warren Evans has articles published in professional journals around the world, and is the recipient of numerous awards and designations within his industry.
