George H. Ross is literally Donald Trump's right hand man in the dreaded boardroom
on The Apprentice. He was hand-picked by Trump from the ranks of his
top executives to act as his eyes and ears on the NBC's runaway hit show.
Ross has known Trump since the 1970's when he was a lawyer in a firm with which Trump was conducting a deal. Their business relationship and friendship grew over the next few years, as Ross continued to assist Trump in his acquisitions. Eight years ago, when Ross became "bored" with what he was doing, Trump invited him to join the organization.
Currently, Ross serves as business and legal advisor to Trump. He is responsible for the development of foreign investments and the supervision of leasing and operations of 40 Wall Street and Trump Tower.
When he's not advising Trump, Ross plays tennis or golf, and teaches a course in negotiation at NYU. He had considered retiring several years ago, but according to Ross, Trump makes life interesting.
Ross has been a real estate attorney and private investor for more than 50 years and as the senior partner of a major law firm served as general counsel, consultant and negotiator for renowned private real estate investors and assisted in various substantial litigation and arbitration proceedings. Ross also co-founded a successful communications company, which, prior to 1995, owned and operated several radio stations.
Ross is a Brooklyn native who earned his law degree at Brooklyn Law School. He is married, lives in Long Island, and has two married daughters and three grandchildren.
