Stephen C. Goodall is President of J.D. Power and Associates, with administrative responsibility for all operations conducted by the firm. Based at the firm's Westlake Village, California, corporate headquarters, he oversees the firm's daily operations there, as well as for regional offices in Orange, California; Mesa, Arizona, Troy, Michigan; and Norwalk, Connecticut, and international offices in Toronto, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney, Munich, and Shanghai.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Goodall served as president and chief executive officer since June 2003 and previously served as president and chief operating officer since August 1996. Previously, he was senior partner with responsibility for all research operations conducted by the firm in its North American offices. He founded the J.D. Power and Associates branch office in Troy, Michigan, in 1989 to better support the firm's Midwest- based clients, including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler (now DaimlerChrysler) and Volkswagen, as well as those in the tire industry, the automotive supplier community, and the medium--and heavy--duty truck industries.
Mr. Goodall joined J.D. Power and Associates in 1978. During his career with the firm, he has developed expertise in measuring customer satisfaction, new product acceptance, brand image and buyer motivations, as well as designed and managed quantitative and qualitative research projects.
Stephen Goodall earned an MBA from the University of Southern California and bachelor's degrees in both marketing and psychology from California State University, Chico.
