Biography

Roger Selbert, Ph.D. is one of the best-known and most respected trend experts in the United States. His 20-year record of accomplishment as a business futurist of economic, social, and demographic foresight is unequalled. He is the Principal of The Growth Strategies Group, a trend research consulting firm; the Editor and Publisher of Growth Strategies, a trend letter formerly known as FutureScan; a US economic analyst, as a North American representative and Principal for the Consumer Demand Index; and a Senior Fellow at the La Jolla Institute, a "new economy" think-tank.

Dr. Selbert was corporate futurist at Security Pacific National Bank from 1981 to 1987. He is today an internationally recognized author, speaker, and consultant on business, consumer, marketing, demographic, and technological trends.

Dr. Selbert holds Masters and Ph.D. degrees in International Relations from the University of Southern California, where he was a Fulbright scholar, Haynes fellow, and European Commission grantee. He earned his undergraduate degree in history from Bowdoin College and attended the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.
