Donald L. Laurie is one of the world's pre-eminent experts on leadership, growth, and value creation. He is an impressive speaker--engaging, intelligent, energetic, and substantive.
Mr. Laurie is Managing Partner of Oyster International LLC. His work focuses on leadership, organization design, capabilities building and platform innovation. He works with chief executives and senior management in the development of their leadership agenda and their role, work, and value added in developing growth agendas and new growth platforms.
During 2003, Donald Laurie led the Harvard Business School, INSEAD and Oyster International research: The CEO Agenda and Growth. This led to his pioneering Harvard Business Review article, "Creating New Growth Platforms," in May 2006.
Mr. Laurie is co-author of The Work of Leadership, a Harvard Business ReviewClassic. In addition, author of The Real Work of Leadersand Venture Catalyst: The Five Strategies For Explosive Corporate Growth. He is a frequent speaker at corporate management conferences, Business Week Roundtables, and such high-profile venues as the Microsoft CEO Summit, Yale CEO Summit, and the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Donald Laurie is an investor in and business builder with a number of venture-based companies in Boston and Silicon Valley. He is on the Board of Trustees at St. Benedict's Prep and active in education and research related to brain disease.
