She is also executive director of the Canaan Foundation, a not-for-profit organization focused on African economic development through the delivery and installation of computers in rural Kenya. She started her business career with the bank in Panama and relocated to world headquarters in Chicago. As regional sales director for CIGNA Health Care, Heather Shea Schultz led the region from worst to best performer in fourteen months. And, as a cast member of Walt Disney World in Orlando she designed and delivered business programs at the Disney Institute. Heather Shea Schultz is a prolific writer for business publications. For two years she wrote a monthly column in Physicians Management, and she is the best selling co-author, with Dr. Chip Bell, of Dance Lessons: Six Steps to Great Partnerships in Business and Life. She co-authored Online Learning Today: Strategies that Work and The Secret to Success in Life with John Fogerty. Heather Shea Schultz is writing her new book, Insight Selling, with Richard Whiteley. In the groundbreaking video program, Women's Millennium, she partnered with Tom Peters to address the impact of women in the marketplace.
